How should I store my jams?

You should store unopened jars in a cool, dark, dry place (between 50-70°F.), away from sunlight and sources of heat. Exposure to light and heat could degrade the jam quickly, which may affect its flavor, consistency, and appearance. Opened jars should be stored in the refrigerator.

How long can I keep my jams and jellies?

Unopened jars that are stored properly can last up to one year from batch date. It is recommended that you use open jams and jellies within three weeks after opening.

How can i tell if my jam is bad?

Any signs of mold, yeast growth, or an “off” odor (smells fermented or yeasty) is an indication of jam spoilage. If there is any mold on a jar of jam or jelly, or signs of other spoilage, discard the entire contents of the jar.
